Trunk or Treat, the Clay County Sheriff's Office's biggest outreach event of the year, is being rescheduled due to forecasted rain.
Originally scheduled for tomorrow night, Oct. 25, the event is moving to Thursday, Oct. 30. The time and place (Pleasant Valley Baptist Church parking lot, 1600 Route 291, Liberty, Mo.) remain the same. The times of 6-6:30 p.m. will remain reserved for those who have already signed up for the sensory-friendly portion of the event. Everyone else is welcome from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Organizers made the decision to reschedule after consulting with the National Weather Service this afternoon.
We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we can't wait to see everyone on the 30th! Residents are invited to join us for a great time of candy and tons of fun activities. Costumes are encouraged and treat bags will be provided. Vote for the best-decorated trunk as different Sheriff's Office units face off for the coveted traveling trophy.
The event is free and open to all.
