The Clay County Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to take advantage of our Online Exchange Zone, which is designed as a meeting place for the public to meet and conduct transactions from web sites like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Located in the Detention Center lobby at 14 S. Water St. in Liberty, Mo., the Online Exchange Zone is constantly recorded with video and audio equipment to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.

Although our site is open 24/7, we encourage visitors not to conduct late-night transactions. Additionally, all legal exchanges are welcome but we do ask that firearms-related transactions not occur at our site due to safety and security concerns.
