The CCSO HALO Team assists Sheriff's Office members experiencing financial crisis. This 501(c)3 nonprofit organization has helped employees out with utility costs, rent and mortgage payments, medical and therapy bills, groceries, school lunch balances, car repairs and more. The HALO Team is overseen by a volunteer board of Sheriff's Office employees.

The Community Engagement Fund allows the Sheriff's Office to do outreach throughout the County to build trust and teach crime prevention. It also helps support the Law Enforcement Career Path program run by our School Resource Deputies in North Kansas City Schools, as well as the summer Junior Police Academy program. The Community Engagement Fund is overseen by the Clay County Sheriffs Office Citizens Academy Alumni Association.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office Charity Golf Tournament will alternate years with the Clay County Sheriff's Office Canine Fund Golf Tournament. The K9 Tournament will return in 2025.
