This is a civilian position with experience preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
Employee works 12-hour shifts as assigned with occasional overtime.
Current shift assignments are as follows: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. Must be able to work any shift assigned.
Responsible for receiving emergency (911) and non-emergency calls from unincorporated Clay County and designated municipalities.
Receive and answer requests from various agencies to retrieve information reference wants, warrants, stolen property, registration, and criminal history.
Enters and updates warrants and ex-partes as needed.
Monitors and dispatches appropriate personnel to various county alarms.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to type with speed and accuracy. Knowledge of street system and geography of the county and adjacent areas helpful.
Starting Salary: $55,000 yearly plus benefits.
