HALO Team (Helping All Live Optimally)
Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes, including members of the Clay County, Missouri, Sheriff's Office. Established in 2022, the CCSO HALO Team formed to provide financial assistance to members and retirees in times of crisis: a cancer diagnosis, a house fire, mental health crisis, car crash and more.
The team has been able to assist employees with rent and mortgage payments, vehicle and home repairs, medical and therapy bills, groceries, school lunch balances, infant supplies and much more.
The CCSO HALO Team is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible. The Team is governed by a board of volunteer Sheriff's Office employees.

In 2025, the HALO Team provided $19,962 in assistance to Sheriff's Office members, made possible only by generous donors. The Team's next fund-raising event is the June 1, 2026, golf tournament.
Shop with a Sheriff
Every year, Sheriff's Office members take deserving children shopping for holiday gifts for themselves and their families. We also provide nonperishable food items to the families. Children are selected to participate in cooperation with North Kansas City Schools, where we serve as School Resource Deputies.
